Over 3,200 Ounces of Silver Stolen from Shipment to Royal Canadian Mint.

A shocking theft has left the Canadian coin and bullion industry on high alert. More than 3,212.5 ounces of silver were stolen from a shipment handled by Day and Ross, destined for the Royal Canadian Mint.

According to Coin Canada of London, Ontario, the missing load was last accounted for on Monday, August 11. The stolen shipment included both bullion bars and collectible silver coins, making it a rare and highly identifiable loss.

The stolen items include:-

7 x 100 oz Royal Canadian Mint bars 1 x 100 oz JBR bar 1 x 100 oz Englehard bar 3 x 100 oz Johnson Matthey bars 2 x 50 oz Johnson Matthey bars 1,375 Silver Maple Leafs (mostly mylar sealed) 196 x 2 oz Kraken coins 97 x 1.5 oz Polar Bear coins

Dealers, shops, and collectors are being urged to remain cautious, as the stolen bullion may surface in the secondary market or through private sales.
