Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities safe. On this Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day, officers from Surrey Police Service (SPS) gathered at the BC Legislature with law enforcement representatives from across British Columbia to pay tribute to the fallen officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten, and we owe them a debt of gratitude for their unwavering commitment to public safety. Let us take a moment to reflect on their sacrifice and to support the families they left behind.

ਅੱਜ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਮਨ-ਚੈਨ ਲਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਓੁਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਦਿਵਸ ‘ਤੇ, ਸਰੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਕੋਲੰਬੀਆ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਵਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ ।
