ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੱਤਵਾਕਾਂਕਸ਼ੀ “ਇੱਕ ਦੇਸ਼, ਇੱਕ ਚੋਣ” ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਚੋਣਾ ਕਰਵਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਖਰਚੇ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਸ਼ਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਲਈ ਸਹਾਈਕ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ‘ਤੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ॥ ਨੇਤਾ ,ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
