ਐੱਫਆਈਆਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜੋਤੀ ਨੇ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਹਿਸਾਨ-ਉਰ-ਰਹੀਮ ਉਰਫ਼ ਦਾਨਿਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਗਈ।
ਜਾਂਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਲੀ ਅਹਵਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਹਿਣ-ਸਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਫ਼ੀਆ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ, ਜੋਤੀ ਵਟਸਐਪ, ਟੈਲੀਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਨੈਪਚੈਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੀ।
ਉਸ ’ਤੇ ਝੂਠੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਹੇਠ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

Hisar, Haryana: In a startling development, Jyoti Malhotra — a travel YouTuber known for her channel Travel With Jo — was arrested by Hisar Police in coordination with central intelligence agencies under allegations of spying for Pakistan.
The 2023 FIR reveals that Malhotra traveled to Pakistan twice after establishing contact with one Ahsan-ur-Raheem alias Danish, whom she met at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi while applying for a visa. During her trips, she reportedly met several individuals linked to Pakistani intelligence, including a man named Ali Ahwan, who facilitated her accommodations and meetings.
Authorities claim that Malhotra continued to stay in touch with these contacts using platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat, even after returning to India. It is alleged that she shared sensitive information which could pose a threat to India’s national security.
Police have also arrested five other individuals linked to this case, one of whom is a 32-year-old woman from Malerkotla, Punjab, named Ghazala.
Malhotra is accused of using false identities to store contact details and maintain secrecy. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities suggest this could be part of a larger espionage network.
