Fatal Vehicle Rollover Closes Highway 99 Northbound
Surrey, BC – November 18, 2024
The Surrey RCMP has announced road closures on Highway 99 northbound between 16th Avenue and 32nd Avenue following a fatal vehicle rollover incident.
Emergency responders, including police and fire services, are currently on scene in the 2800 block of Highway 99.
Authorities are urging commuters to avoid the area, plan alternate routes, and expect delays. It is currently unclear how long the road closures will remain in effect.
S/Sgt. De Hart of Surrey RCMP shared this advisory, emphasizing public cooperation to ensure the safety of all.

ਸਰੀ RCMP ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਾਈਵੇ 99 ਉੱਤਰਮੁੱਖ 16ਵੇਂ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਤੋਂ 32ਵੇਂ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਤੱਕ ਮੌਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਬੰਦ ਹੈ।
ਹਾਈਵੇ ਦੇ 2800 ਬਲਾਕ ’ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਭੁਝਾਉ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਹਾਜਰ ਹਨ।
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦੀ, ਰੂਟ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਦੇਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੜਕ ਬੰਦਸ਼ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
ਸਰੀ RCMP ਦੇ S/Sgt. ਡੇ ਹਾਰਟ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
